Ray Donovan was definitely a very popular show, but watching the chemistry between Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati is something that you have never seen before. To state what we know officially, there is no detail or plans the makers have expressed about the next season of the show. Overall, there has been no official announcement made regarding season 2 of the show by the makers, Netflix, or the cast of the show.
But we are strongly inclined towards the renewal of the show, and that is mainly because of the following reasons:
- The most important reason is the show’s popularity, there is no doubt a hype has already been created for the show and everyone will be watching it. The show is receiving mostly positive reviews from the fans and critics, so a season 2 is very likely as makers would definitely consider the fanbase of the show.
- The second important reason we think Rana Naidu might come with season 2 is the season 1 ending. Season 1 ended with many questions unanswered, so makers might have already planned for a season 2.
- Rana Naidu has been adapted from the American thriller series, Ray Donovan which has a total of 7 seasons. So, to cover the complete story from there, they would have to release more seasons to satisfy fans’ thirst.
So, the chances of season 2 are very likely. If the show gets renewed this year, we could expect it to release sometime in 2024. Still, these are just our predictions we will have to wait for more official announcements. Currently, there is no Rana Naidu Season 2 Release Date.

Rana Naidu Season 2 Story
I would try to provide the possible storyline for season 2 without giving you the spoilers for season 1. Well, if you watched season 1, you know it left us with plenty of cliffhangers. So, if season 2 were to be picked up, the show will continue where season 1 left off and answer the questions we didn’t get the answers to.
In addition to this, as the show is the official adaptation of Ray Donovan it will pick up the same storyline from season 2. Season 2 would explore more on Rana Naidu’s mission, his family relationships, and how he will manage his both personal and professional life. Season 2 would also give us some piece of the action in Naidu’s brother’s life and we might see more of their backstories and their getting involved more in crime.
We might also see Naidu’s father changing his roles plenty of times and giving hard time to Rana. Naidu’s family might also play an important role in season 2. I will not add what happens in Ray Donovan season 2 as it would be major spoilers, but you get the gist, right?

There is no announcement who will return for season 2 of the show as season 2 has not been officially renewed yet. But based on season 1, we could make some predictions on who will return in season 2:
The main character of the show Rani Duggabati aka Rana Naidu has to return to revive his role. In addition to this Rana Naidu’s father Venkatesh Daggubati aka Naga Naidu will also return, as they two are the main cast members of the show. We might also see Rana Naidu’s brothers, Shushant Singhas Tej Naidu and Abhishek Banerjee as Jaffa Naidu. In addition to this, we might also see Naina Naidu aka Surveen Chawla who plays Rana Naidu’s wife in the show.
Other cast members like Suchitra Pillai as Pooja Naidu, Ashish Vidyarthi as Raj Naidu, Rajni Basumatary as Nyla, Naga’s love interest, and others might return for season 2.

There’s one more reason why we are so sure that there will be season 2. Rana Duggabati and Venkatesh have already shared on their Instagram accounts depicting how people are loving their show. So, if the makers ask them to come for season 2, why will they say no, right?
Its been a long time since a good Indian show has been released (excluding Farzi), and I am sure like me, you will also want to watch season 2 of the show. In addition to this, the makers have also hinted that they are definitely in for the long run, so anything can happen.
