Neo-western drama series which have got a touch of the historical genre in it has always been a unique combination, that has received love over the years. Now 1923 is no exception to that, and along with it, neither are its prequel and sequels, Yellowstone and 1883.
The story of the Dutton’s goes on, just the time frame changes and the setting changes, with new adventures and new things to concentrate on, this series with its first season did quite good, in bringing out the neo-western culture and the different historical associations that the writers had planned on introducing within the various circumstances of the Yellowstone Dutton ranch.
If we look at this series, it is much more modernized and ahead of time, than what we have seen in the series 1883. For any reference of all those who haven’t watched this series yet, according to chronological order it comes between the series 1883 and Yellowstone.
For those who have no idea what the entire Yellowstone universe is about, it is basically the story of the Duttons who own the biggest ranch called the Yellowstone ranch. Now the story mainly gets complicated with the first season of Yellowstone, where there is a big chaos that arises from the succession and the ownership of the ranch.
Though it stays within the Dutton family, someone who can be treated as an outsider is now in power and that leads to many problems, not only with the family but also with the other political scenario that exists. Soon there starts to be more dirt digging, more secrets popping out of nowhere and the Duttons don’t look as good as they used to be before the start of the race.
This entire battle also leads to some murders and some massive rivalry between two of the most epic character in the series and that’s how the main story has been. Now in the case of 1923, this is a prequel to the original series Yellowstone, and thus the timeframe is much earlier or as we may say a bit earlier than what we see in Yellowstone.
Everything isn’t modernized in this story and for the main incidents which will let you know about the worldly scenario back then; we see a lot of economic instability in the series. Mostly all know about the prohibition period, a complete stop to the entire alcohol industry, followed by the great depression during which almost the entire country and Montana became deeply affected by the scarce conditions of the market. However, the Duttons still rule and they have got a lot of conflicts to take care of.
Following these, if we come to the ratings of the shows, of the franchise all the sequels and the prequels of the franchise, have actually done great and they have received very high ratings compared to other series of this genre. We start with 1883, which basically shows the time frame of 1883 and the condition of the Yellowstone ranch back then, this series came out in the year 2021 and came to an end by the early months of 2022. Following that, we have the first season of 1923, which also made it to us on the 18th of December 2022, and as we all know the fan response to this series has been just amazing.
Now we move forward to the main show that has been the Yellowstone show, which actually made it to us in the year 2018 with the first season, and following that we have received a total of 5 seasons as of now.

1923 Season 2 Story
Now moving forward to the story that we are going to get in the second season of the show. Though we have just been shown a green light for the series, we have got a lot of settings and a lot of things going on in the first season of the show. Though nothing has been as scary and dark as the original series of Yellowstone something has not changed and that is the Dutton family for sure.
We have already talked about the crisis period that the entire country is on its way to facing and as we all know by the end of the first season, the great depression is coming. Following all these, we also have another critical event in which the Duttons family will play an important part and that is the western expansion, which in reality also had a great deal of Montana affected or related to it.
Now though we can’t predict which way the story is going to go, or how the Duttons are going to face more problems or bring an end to the previously existing problems, something that we know, is that the drama isn’t going to stop, more critics scenes with Jacob Dutton and Cara Dutton are going to continue and some new introduction may also be made. Now for any more updates regarding the storyline of the upcoming season, we will have to wait till the trailer makes it to us.

Now as we have already mentioned we have only received a green flag for the show yet and no other information regarding the show has been out yet. though one thing that’s for sure is that all the iconic character cast members from the first season of the show are coming back which includes some big names such as Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Brandon Sklenar, Darren Mann, Jerome Flynn, Isabel May, and many others. now as we have mentioned now, we have no words regarding any new members joining the cast and thus for any updates regarding it, we will have to wait till the trailer comes out.

Though the second season of the show has been confirmed already and there has been much speculation about it, we still don’t know when the show is finally going to make it to us.
