Moana is one of the most adorable characters in the entirety of the animated movie universe, the story which follows her tale may not be something that is completely bright and filled with happiness. The start of the movie only was marked with many things which will make someone quite scared and mainly the children who are the targeted audience of the series were not at all happy with how the movie went from the start. However, for those who don’t know who is moana and what we are talking about.
Moana is basically the leading character from the Disney animated movie, titled Moana which came out back in 2016 and is considered one of the best works of Disney as of now. The movie when it made it to us, received a huge reaction from the audience, and people all over the world fell in love with the animation, the story, and along with that the music or the songs of the movie. The IMDB rating of the show stands at 7.6 out of 10 which is also quite impressive.
Following all these the comments of the critics regarding the show were mostly positive and overall, for Disney, it was quite a successful movie. However, something that has intrigued many fans is the storyline and how the starting and the ending of the story went. Firstly something that is very interesting about this movie is that it is actually based on folklore, which makes it more magical and some references may also be by some people who have actually heard of the folklore.
Following that the main question that we have mainly received over the past few years is regarding what happens to Moana, or whether she is alive. The answer was not given to us by the makers but we surely have some interesting theories.
Moana’s Death
Almost all those who have watched the movie, surely know how the movie and where Moana went after the starting scenes of the movie, however for those who haven’t watched the movie, or didn’t get the theories, we need to understand that in the first scene only, we see Moana is drowning in a storm.
After some time she reaches an island where her entire journey starts and she starts mixing around with the various gods, or supernatural creatures another interesting thing is the fact that she interacts with her grandmother who has already passed away in the past. This most probably happened because she was also dead and now, she is on her journey to reach the afterlife and is interacting with people who mean a lot to her, and those who will be helping her in the upcoming journey.
Now other than this, there are also some things that need to be considered for this theory to be true, is how she seemed like an immortal or not a human during the rest of the movie. We see her doing many adventurous stuff and things which would normally end up hurting most other humans, but she never got injured or anything of that sort.
The fact that during the start of the movie, if you all remember the Realm Of Monsters was actually referred to as the underworld, which according to most other references we can relate to hell, based on all these kinds of logic and statements we can come to the conclusion that yes Moana, faced her dead in the storm and the rest of the movie she was just traveling to heaven.

We see some absolutely amazing characters throughout the movie, the role of Moana is voiced by Auli’I Cravalho, then Maui was voiced by The Rock, Tala by Rachael House, Tui by Temuera Morrison, and the list goes on and on. There are not many characters in the story however all of them do play a very important role in the story.
