The story of the catch revolves around a woman who owns an investigating unit in L.A., California. Her name is Alice Vaughan. She falls in love with a man and gets cheated on. Not cheating in that sense of the meaning, but cheating in the sense that her fiancé robbed her of her money and ran away. He was a fraud, and Alice stepped right into his trap.
Hence, the story of the show revolves around how Alice tries to find this fraud, who was once her fiancé, Benjamin Jones. It is hilarious but gets serious when it is found that Jones is involved with some serious criminal stuff.
