Bored of the supernatural power-possessing heroes and ninjas? Don’t worry, we have an anime that you’d absolutely love! We don’t blame you, how long can someone watch the same trope? Death March To The Parallel World Rhapsody is a breath of fresh air in the anime world.
Revolving around Ichiro Suzuki, a game developer, this anime stands out from the others quite significantly. We all enjoy series that have a unique plotline which is why season 1 has been well-received. But season 2 has been a major concern. Let’s explore why that is!
Death March To The Parallel World Rhapsody Season 2
A fictional world, a clumsy and funny protagonist blended with some action makes the perfect recipe for an anime. Death March To The Parallel World Rhapsody has created quite a buzz in 2018. We got to witness a new addition to the isekai genre and we absolutely enjoyed it, didn’t we?
Season 1 began in 2018 and continued for a few months before Ichiro Suzuki abruptly bid goodbye to us. Ever since we have been kindling hope for Death March To The Parallel World Rhapsody season 2 which seems to diminish a little day by day. We know anime creation takes time but receiving confirmation is our right. The makers have been shockingly quiet which is why season 2 doesn’t seem to be happening yet. Of course, we want season 2 but it seems like the makers don’t.

Death March To The Parallel World Rhapsody Season 2 Plot
If you’re thinking the makers canceled season 2 because of a lack of source material, that’s not the case. There are multiple twists and turns the makers could have instilled in the show. For instance, Suzuki could have come out of the fictional world and fixed the bugs before his deadline.
Also, Ichiro or Satou, as his game world name is, could have continued fighting more monsters and saved his world. We could have seen more about Mia, the cute elf girl. Since Death March To The Parallel World Rhapsody is based on a manga and light novel series that continued for a long while, we have no idea why the makers have not yet announced season 2.
Death March To The Parallel World Rhapsody Season 2 Cast List
The anime has a notably talented cast which also happens to be one of its greatest strengths. Ichirou Suzuki, an adult programmer nearing his thirty who mysteriously turns 15 when he enters the gaming world, is voiced by Shun Horie in Japanese and Justin Briner in English. He is the creator of a game that somehow turns into a reality where Ichirou Suzuki becomes Satou Pendragon.
The other cast members include Zena Marienteil brought to us by Rie Takahashi in Japanese and Julie Shields in English who is Satou’s best friend and soldier. Liza, Pochi, and Tama are demi-humans who accompany Satou on his mission. If we get season 2, these characters will be surely returning.

Death March To The Parallel World Rhapsody Season 1 Review: It Was Good While It Lasted
Probably not the best anime but a significant one nonetheless. It begins by portraying Suzuki as a typical 29-year-old game developer who is on a deadline. He works constantly to the point he starts skipping meals and forgets about the world.
Then, Suzuki falls into a deep slumber accidentally and wakes up in an alternate universe–one he has created for his game. Though he thinks he’s dreaming for the better half of the series, it has become the reality of his life, only he is now Satou Pendragon instead of Ichirou Suzuki.
The anime does justice to its genre where the main focus lies on the main protagonist. And it works as a fantasy anime most of the time. But there are times when Death March To The Parallel World Rhapsody feels like the creators’ are dragging the anime despite it having only 12 episodes.
