In the first episode, we watch Catherine discover the remains of the murder victim which strangely leads her back to Tommy Lee Royce (one of the main characters).
Ryan Catherine’s grandson was playing football and was cheered on by Catherine, Clare, and her boyfriend Neil. Ryan’s sports teacher Rob Hepworth is a bully and a controlling husband. At Ryan’s 16th birthday meal, the family came together. Catherine and her sister Clare were acknowledging how happy they are in the last few years but little did they know that it all was going to shatter.
Rob goes to his home as a school mum and asks if his wife had been drinking as she didn’t pick up her two daughters. In one of the scenes, he tries to sexually assault his wife Jo. Her husband called the police on his wife as she didn’t get the medicine from the prescription. Catherine came down and realized that Jo had been controlled by his husband and wanted to take her to a shelter but she refused and returned back to her home.
After a few scenes, Catherine refuses to acknowledge Royce as Ryan’s father but Ryan has his own ideas about his and Royce’s relationship.
In the second episode, we see Catherine getting a painful personal close betrayal. Ans Faisal Comes under and increases the pressure from all sides.
