Shanty town is basically a Nigerian series that has been in the talk for quite some time now and the talk when we generally speak about is about the popularity of the show, but this time it’s the exact opposite. This show has faced a lot of criticism and there has been a lot of controversy regarding the show in the last few days.

The storyline if we look at it, has got nothing but darkness, everything has got a touch of social evil and the situation as the show proceeds doesn’t get better but it just worsens over time. For those who don’t know what this series is about it is basically the tale of a drug lord or a gangster who is running a big drug cartel and along with that many illegal businesses, which includes a prostitution racket and the story’s main revolves around that man and one of his prostitutes who wants her freedom and owes him a lot of money.

The show has been rated a 7.4 IMDb rating which may be defined as good by many but based on the storyline we don’t recommend the story to anyone.

Followed by that, there has though been quite a lot of audience to the show and there have also been questions regarding the second season of the show. However, as we have already mentioned the show isn’t nice and based on the audience’s response, it6 has been filled with criticism from all over the world and the critics have also given a lot of negative ratings to the show.

Initially from what we have heard there was actually a plan for a second season of the show but based on how the audience has responded, we have received a big question mark regarding season 2 and we will have to wait a little longer before the Netflix studios confirm anything to us.

The initial work regarding the first season began in 2022 only and as we know the response regarding the first season of the show hasn’t been nice at all. The script regarding season 2 of the show already exists which means if the makers start with the show in 2023 only then we will surely receive it by the middle of 2024 and that too will come with a total of 6 episodes just like the previous season of the show according to our predictions.

As we all know, the second season of the show hasn’t been confirmed yet and we also haven’t received any trailer for it, thus no information is available regarding what the story will be based on for season 2 of the show. However we weren’t left on a cliffhanger or something of that sort, so even if we don’t receive a second season it will be a complete series. If season 2 of the show happens, we actually don’t expect much but the same grim storyline to go with new characters and some twists in the plots.
