Dennis Rodman is an American Basketball player. He was born on May 13, 1961, in Trenton, New Jersey, U.S. He is a retired basketball player who played for the Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, and  Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. He was nicknamed “The Worm”.  

He along with his two sisters grew up in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas. His mother’s name was Shirely and his father’s name was Phirleyr Rodman, Jr. His father was an enlisted air force member.  His father fought in the Vietnam war and left his family when Rodman was quite young. Philander later settled in the Philippines. Dennis has many brothers and sisters, He is the oldest among all the siblings. He has a total of 47 siblings including him!

According to his father, Dennis has 26 or 27 siblings only from his father’s side. After his father left for the Philippines, His mother took over many jobs to support the family. He didn’t have much connection with his father and had not seen him for more than 30 years. He once stated that The man who brings us into the world does not always have to be our father. Dennis was close to his mother and refused to leave her when he was sent to nursery when he was four years old. 

He attended South Oak Cliff High School, Rodman, and was a gym class student of future Texas A&M under basketball coach Gary Blair. He then transferred to Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He was enlisted in the high school basketball teams. On measuring his 5ft 6 in (1.68m) height he failed to join the football team. Gray Blair coached Dais’s sisters Kim and Debra and they won three state championships. 

Rodman worked as an overnight janitor at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, after finishing high school. He then experienced a sudden growth spurt from 5 ft 11 in (1.80 m) to 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m) and this decision to try for basketball again. Dennis worked at a summer youth basketball camp during his college times. He made a friend, who was timid in nature, and became close and formed a good bond. In southeastern Oklahoma S the university he performed well honors the Most Valuable Player honor. He started his career in basketball in 1986 and Rodman’sired in 2006.

While building his career he received strong support from his mom. The family has a difficult as his father left them. He was determined to do big in his life. In the year 1986, Dennis Rodman was enlisted by the Detroit Pistons. Rodman played well, registering an average of 11.6 points and 8.7 rebounds, in the next, season 1987-88. In the 1988-99 season, he scored 9.0 points and 9.4 rebounds in 27 minutes and the Pistons won in the finals. He was considered one of the best basketball play during his time. The first of these even consecutive rebounding crowns were won by Denniss Rodman in the year 1992.  After the years passed He become more successful.

In the 1995-96 season, Rodman was traded and joined the Chicago Bulls as a power forward. This club already boasted popular players, such as Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan. As he was an athlete, Dennis once again tried a hand at wrestling by participating in Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling in 2008.
