Jeffrey Dahmer is an American serial killer and also a sex offender who was sentenced to imprisonment for fifteen terms for fifteen murders he committed. Later, when found about a homicide he committed in Ohio in 1978, his punishment was increased to a sixteenth term of life imprisonment. Dahmer used to preserve the body parts of the victims he killed. His terror was so huge among people that he was known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or Milwaukee Monster.
Jeffrey Dahmer was an Evangelical Christian. The Church of Christ was known for not using any musical instruments in their church. The Church of Christ was known for being racist. These people used to hate gay people and used to protest against them. When he came to know that he was gay, Dahmer couldn’t say it to his family. According to the Church of Christ, homosexuality was a Satanic force due to which instead of approaching men, he used to kill them. He also had many problems in his family. His parents used to have frequent fights. His mother attempted suicide but was saved. This all led to many mental problems in Dahmer. He had many mental disorders but was proven sane in the trial.
Jeffrey Dahmer’s Personal Life
Jeffrey Dahmer was born in the year 1960 on May 21 in Milwaukee. He was the first of two sons of Joyce Annette and Lionel Herbert Dahmer. Many sources say that Dahmer was deprived of attention as an infant. Dahmer’s energetic and funny nature soon turned pale after his hernia surgery which took place after his fourth birthday. Dahmer had a hidden interest in dead animals which started when he saw his father removing animal bones beneath his home which oddly fascinated him. One of his friends reported how Dahmer explained that he wanted to know how an animal’s body fits together. In 1975, Dahmer beheaded a dog and nailed its body to a tree. His father taught him how to preserve animal bones in the same year. In 1979, Dahmer enlisted in the United States Army. Because of him, the entire platoon got punished which got him a severe beating from all his fellow mates.

Jeffrey Dahmer’s Murders
Jeffrey Dahmer murdered Steven Hicks in 1978 which was his first murder. Dahmer had a sexual interest in Steven. He called him to have some beers to which Steven agreed. He heard the way Steven was talking about girls which made him realize that he was not gay. Jeffrey hit him with a dumbbell which was 10 pounds (4.5 kg). He beat him to death and then dissected his body parts. He buried his remains in his backyard. After a few weeks, he took those remains and separated the flesh and bones. Dahmer dissolved the flesh in acid and once it was dissolved, he flushed it in the toilet. He crushed the bones using a hammer and scattered them in his backyard. He continued to commit more such murders.
In 1991, Dahmer invited 3 men to his home for nude photography to which 1 agreed. Tracy Edwards went to Dahmer’s apartment but soon started to smell a foul odor which he saw was coming from a 57-gallon drum. Dahmer handcuffed his wrist. Edwards won Dahmer’s trust by saying he won’t leave and that he is a friend. When he saw Dahmer busy with some other work, he asked to use the bathroom. Edward rose and hit Dahmer hard, knocking him down. Edwards saw two police officers and told them everything about Dahmer and also took them to his apartment where the officers found polaroid pictures of many human dead bodies. They also found a large knife beneath his bed. A full search was done and the officers found 4 heads, and seven skulls in Dahmer’s bedroom and closet. Dahmer was then taken into custody. On July 23, 1991, he confessed to all the murders.
How Did Jeffrey Dahmer Die?
Jeffrey Dahmer died on November 28, 1994. He was beaten to death by Christopher Scarver who was his inmate in prison. Jeffrey Dahmer, Jesse Anderson, and Christopher Scarver were assigned to clean the prison gym. At 8.10 a.m. It was reported that the officers found Dahmer lying on the bathroom floor. Dahmer was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead an hour later. It was found that Scarver used a 20-inch metal rod to hit Dahmer and Anderson. He severely hit Dahmer on his head and also struck his head against the wall. When asked the reason to kill both of them, Scarver simply replied that he did so because God told him to do it. Jesse Anderson died two days later. Scarver had hidden the 20-inch metal bar before the killings.
The public had mixed emotions when they came to know about the death of Jeffrey Dahmer. Some of them were happy that the monster died, while others wanted him to suffer more before he dies.
