For all the medical practitioners or the medical aspirants out there, we do think of the medical world to be something filled with glory and respect, saving lives of uncountable people and being one of the most elite in society but at the same time, the profession does come with certain ups and downs, certain phases or deep dark corners, which aren’t actually revealed to outsiders or people who haven’t entered the profession yet. However, there are also people who think of changing the system and setting it on the right track but at the same time, it needs a lot of power. New Amsterdam is actually a drama series that has been adapted from a book titled twelve patients and has been quite praised for the excellent depiction of a glorified story that will change the medical history of a particular institution for years. This drama series has received an 8.0 IMDb rating out of 10 which is quite great and has also received quite great comments from the critic’s part. The story which has been depicted in brief is of a man who has the power to change the system or the cycle that has been going on for years in the medical profession in one of the most respected institutions out there and while trying to do so, the complication he has to face and the people who stand in his way.
Though, coming to the main topic of the series, we already know based on the rating and other stuff that this series is a huge success and we are recently receiving the 5th season of the show, which has been much awaited and people have just gone crazy over it as the makers haven’t made us wait for a long time. But along with that, there have also been queries regarding the 6th season of the show, which has also been quite clearly stated by the makers. If we look into the Wikipedia page, we will find that it is properly stated that there aren’t any chances of getting this show back again for the 6th season and the 5th season is the final one for now. However, fans don’t get disheartened and stuff, we always have received such finale seasons, and just after a few years, new seasons drop by as continuation, so who knows that ain’t going to be the case for this show too.

The first season of the show came out in the year 2018 and the book from which this story has been adapted or inspired as we may say came out in the year 2012 and was a massive hit during that time. With the first season of the show, the hype regarding the show started rising, and soon by the end of the first season, it was announced that the show will be coming back for a second season as well. The second season of the show made it to us in the year 2019 and there was also a small break between the season which finally brought the series to an end in 2020. Soon the third season came out in 2021 and the fourth season which is extremely long came out in 2021 and continued till 2022 just like the second season. The fifth season of the show is also set to make its release in September months of 2022. However, as we have said, don’t lose hope as often shows as this comes back after a few years and that is a very uncertain thing but it may happen.

For the story of the 6th season of the show, we actually haven’t got anything as of now, because from the maker’s side there ain’t any 6th season, and also if we look into the book that was being adapted, everything has been covered.
