While reliving his middle school days, Takemichi meets Naoto and reveals the exact date he and his Hinata will die. When they shake hands, Takemichi is suddenly brought back to the present, creating a time paradox in which Naoto survives and is now a detective. I guess, martial arts vows to use his knowledge of the future to save Hinata.
