Housebroken is an American coming-of-age animated sitcom created by Jennifer Crittenden, Claire Duvall, and Gabriel Allan and premiered on May 31, 2021, on Fox. Housebroken follows an anthropomorphic therapy dog named Honey, leading a group of other anthropomorphic animals in group therapy sessions to treat human dysfunction and neurosis by applying psychiatric knowledge.

It’s been a while since Housebroken season 2 was officially greenlit for production. It will be released in 2022 as restrictions have been lifted due to the pandemic. The new season will also likely consist of 11 episodes with the same total running time as Season 1. The rest of the details are likely to be announced in the coming months. Chico (Sam Richardson) is a fat cat who is scared to eat. Shell (Will Forte) is a turtle in love with an alligator in his backyard. Nibbles (Bresha Webb) is a very angry hamster. And Max (Tony Hale) can’t help but tell everyone that he lives with George Clooney. Honey is struggling with the sudden death of her best friend, Big Cookie. She wants to replace her in her group so that she can become a Mur dog herself and stop dreaming of her cookie flying over Cloud in her car. She tries to talk about it with her roommate, Chief (Nat Faxon), but he’s a bit dumb and too interested in chasing squirrels and bees to listen. There are also rumours about a coyote in the neighbourhood who turns Honey on completely.

Housebroken Season 2 Characters
Lisa Kudrow as Honey, a standard poodle who opens the living room for the group to come and support each other. Her Honey also struggles with her problems, such as the loss of her boyfriend Big Cookie and her (human) arranged marriage to Chief. Clea DuVall plays her Elsa, a power-hungry, know-it-all corgi and service dog in training. Her owner is a careless and ignorant young woman who only dresses Elsa in her best to avoid or carry out her illegal activities with no consequences. Nat Faxon as her chief is a scruffy and not-too-bright St. He is Bernard and Honey’s sidekick who likes to eat socks, play in the mud, and lick himself. Will Forte Shell is a turtle of intimacy issues and a shoe fetish.
He originally had an affair with one alligator he named “Lindsey” and wanted to marry him until his companion Darla returned fifteen years later. but never speaks to the group due to his narcissism. His youngest owner attends the same elementary school where Nibbles lives. He then becomes polyamorous with Darla and Lindsay; in the episode Who’s a Bad Girl?
Housebroken Season 2 Story
When Season 2 will take place, the story will pick up where the previous season left off. At the end of the Housebroken season 1 series, we saw Jill’s mother visit next to her favourite bird named Nathan. Her Nathan hates honey. Branches barricade the entire house during brief power outages. When Nathan’s cage overturns, he is presumed dead. Each animal tries to figure out who is responsible. At that time, settle the drama between them and avoid being discovered by the people.
However, Honey lies that she killed Nathan. Raccoon is still in love with Armando. When he confesses to committing murder, he tries to confront Honey about taking responsibility for a murder he never committed. He agrees to secrecy on the condition that he can live in the barn all year round. Later, Jill bought her puppy for Big Cookie’s owner and they named her Lil Cookie in her honour.
In this animated comedy by Gabriel Allan, Jennifer Crittenden, Claire Duvall, and Sharon Hogan, a group of pets and stray dogs solve problems in a therapy group led by a poodle named Honey (voiced by Lisa Kudrow).

Housebroken’s creators and stars came together virtually Thursday to unveil an animated sitcom for adults focused on group therapy pets. During a panel discussion during Fox Entertainment’s Summer Press Tour, co-creators/EPs Clea DuVall, Gabrielle Allan, and Jennifer Crittenden said that DuVall came up with the original idea for the series while the trio was working on the HBO comedy Veep. They wanted more than anything to go to a counsellor with and how can she Duvall also plays Elsa the corgi.
