Demi-Chan Wa Kataritai Season 1 Story

The manga series Demi-chan wa Kataritai was created by Petos and started serialization back in 2014. The eighth and final volume of this manga will be released in 2020. The renowned company A-1 Pictures chose the tale for an animation adaptation that premiered around 2017. But because of its popularity, Demi-chan wa Kataritai is available in other countries via Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu, or even Netflix.

Tetsuo Takahashi, a high school instructor, is the main character. He may seem kind, yet he has a deep obsession with the demi but rather a demon. Even though these half-human, half-monster beings have assimilated into human civilization, Takahashi believes that unless he interacts with them directly, he will never really understand them. Along with his three Demi students, Demi-chan wa Kataritai observes Takahashi’s daily activities. Yuki Kusakabe, Kyouko Machi, and Hikari Takanashi

All along the way, Takahashi also encounters Sakie Satou, a supernatural creature who dislikes men and is a fellow teacher. Takahashi chooses to have informal talks with the girls to learn more about their skills, psyches, and interactions with human society to achieve his goal of understanding more about Demi. Takahashi finds that the Demi is not quite as strange as he first thought as he deepens his relationship with his students.

Demi-Chan Wa Kataritai Characters

Demi-Chan Wa Kataritai Season 2 Release Date

Tetsuo Takahashi: an instructor of biology who is curious about demis & interested in studying more about them. His moniker and massive build have led some of his students to call him “Iron Man” on occasion. As he learns more about demis, he begins to comprehend the issues that demis and teenagers confront, and he tries to assist them in just about any way he can. Because of his expertise in demis and his kind & helpful demeanour, Takahashi is frequently the girls’ go-to person.

Kyoko Machi: An unassuming dullahan with a head distinct from her body and a blue flame emerging from the area where the collar should be. She yearns for human contact because her arms are busy holding her head, which cannot move independently. Due to Tetsuo’s sympathetic personality, Kyko starts to have feelings for him. Despite her acceptance of the idea and willingness to joke about it, she first had trouble making friends since people found it uncomfortable to talk to her without dragging up her disembodied head in some way.

Hikari Takanashi: A very active vampire. She refrains from biting the necks of others and substitutes tomato juice for blood by swallowing blood packs that the government sends. Contrary to popular belief, she enjoys eating garlic and only dislikes hot weather and bright lighting. The human twin sister of Hikari is named Himari. While Himari seems to be the most mature twin, Hikari behaves more like the younger sister, although being the older twin.

Yuki Kusakabe: a modest snow woman with a chilly body. When she feels terrible, she will occasionally blow cold air and is sensitive to heat. Although Tetsuo can convince her that if the only things she can genuinely freeze are her eyes and sweat, Yuki initially hates her dual nature and fears that she could damage others or those around her. Yuki’s chilly body temperature makes Hikari want to hold or hug her because vampires struggle in the heat.

Himari Takanashi: The younger twin sister of Hikari, a regular person. She takes her academics and personal life considerably more seriously than her sister. She frequently attempts to get her sister to act more adult, but she is unsuccessful. Himari always watches Hikari to ensure she will not get into mischief or remain out too late. When she can’t, she frequently texts Tetsuo to keep a close eye on Hikari.

Sakie Sato: A math instructor who is a succubus. The term “Dream Demons” is also sometimes used to describe succubi. She always has to take precautions to prevent unintentionally enticing guys and other male students because of her body’s aphrodisiac impact, such as donning a tracksuit to conceal her physique and catching the earliest and last trains of the day to book well in advance. She could accidentally induce amorous dreams in those around her if she nods off. Sato can’t live in a housing complex or anywhere where there might be many people. Thus she stays alone outside of civilization for this reason.
