Luca came out first in the year 2021 and since then the fan base of the movie has just set on a track of getting bigger and bigger over the years. For all those who don’t know anything about this movie, you surely are missing out a lot. This is the feature movie of Enrico casa rosa, who has just outdone himself with his first work. Luca is actually an animated movie, but if you are an adult and are discouraged just because it is an animated cartoon-based movie, you should stop and continue reading this article, because this movie is one of those creations by Pixar studios and this movie has been distributed by Disney, which makes it one of Disney’s works too. This movie has got a huge fan base as we have mentioned already and beyond that too, the IMDB rating of this movie is 8.7 out of 10 which is amazing because it is an animated series. The critic’s comment on this has also been quite great and thus based on the success this movie has received with just a single sequel, we can expect a second movie but is it confirmed?
Unfortunately, the answer to this question is no, we have just assumed that based on the success this movie has received, the Disney creative head has also hinted that though this movie has done a lot of success, it hasn’t been put on the list of recent movie plans, thus we may not receive this movie in the coming months but something that we can also consider is that it was never mentioned of being cancelled. Thus, there is still a chance that this successful movie which is giving out a great message and follows the story of a small boy may be receiving a second movie in the franchise.
Luca 2 Release Date
The first movie from the franchise was originally announced in June of 2020 and thus we can assume that the plans and the writing of the movie had begun a long time back and after finishing the making process, the movie finally made it to us on the 13th of June 2021 and it had an approximate runtime of 1 hour 35 minutes. Now as we heard Disney hasn’t included Luca 2 in the recent list of movies, thus it still hasn’t been decided whether the movie will come back as a second movie. However, based on how the story has been a second movie will have a lot of things to animate and new adventures to go on, and based on the success, it would be quite profitable to bring back a second movie. Based on the time the first movie had taken, we can assume that this movie if it starts being made in 2023 it will finally make it to us by 2024. However, there are only assumptions and nothing has been confirmed yet, and we will need to wait for some time more.

Luca 2 Story
Now that we have already seen in the first movie that Luca has gone to genoa along with Giulia to attend schooling there and he was seen off at the station by Alberto his family and Massimo. He can go on new adventures and get a better understanding of the world with Giulia with whom we surely see Luca bonding the most. There can be many stories that can be created some school adventures or some other adventures or we even may see Luca struggling this far away from his family. On the other, we may also get to see Alberto joining them somehow because we already know how close Luca and Alberto have been in the first movie of the movie series.
Luca 2 Characters
The second Luca movie is surely going to have a few characters who will continue from the previous movie, they are Luca himself, Giulia, Alberto, and Massimo. It is also expected to be having Giulia’s mother whom we saw towards the end of the first movie. There will be many other new characters mainly from the new school to which Luca will be going.

Where Can We Watch Luca 2?
Luca 2 will be available in theatres at first and then it is expected to be available on Disney+ Hotstar and other streaming platforms too. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
