Developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, Vampire Diaries is an American teen supernatural drama series that premiered on The CW. 1 ) Season 1, Episode 7, “Haunted”
Released on October 29, 2009, the seventh episode of the series revolves around how Vicki dies due to her fault in an attempt to bite Jeremy. She was first taken to Salvatore’s house when she was found attacking Tyler. It was unknown to everyone in the town where her whereabouts are except Elena who could also not tell this anyone.
While Stefan and Damon were keeping an eye on Vicki, they were also adjusting her to the new environment by giving her some animal blood and telling her why she should not feed on human blood. Vicki attacks Elena while they were both alone after Elena asked her to stay away from Jeremy.
On the other hand, Damon was trying to figure out who knows about vampires in the town and tried to compel Mrs Lockwood but with no results. As the Halloween party was nearer, Caroline gives Bonnie a witch costume with Damon’s bracelet, which when he saw tried to get from Bonnie, for which she denied of. Vicki runs away from Salvatore’s house and attacked Jeremy at the party. She dies drinking her blood from Elena when the latter jumps to save Jeremy.
In the last, Elena asked Damon to make Jeremy forget everything when Stefan was not unable to do so. She was not able to tell Matt about the death of Vicky and leaves Stefan and Damon alone in the house, leaving them staring at each other.

2 ) Season 1, Episode 22, “Founder’s Day”
Released on May 13, 2010, Founders Day follows how Elena gets back to her father, John, while he tries to find vampires on the 150th founders day. It was John and the tomb vampires who attacked the founder’s day.
The episode opens up with how Jeremy was not forgiving Elena after he got to know that John killed his mother but Damon was trying to please him by not treating badly with her. John was telling to the mayor how they can use the device to attack the town at the night. He handcuffs Sherrif who disagrees with him.
Anna tells Damron that the tomb vampires are also planning to attack the town after the fireworks go off. After the mayor gave his speech, John activates the device, finding every vampire and injecting them with vervain. Stefan collapses but was saved with the help of Elena and Alaric.
Tyler, Matt, and Caroline met with an accident after hearing the noise of the device and were badly injured. While Stefan, Elena, and Alaric were looking for Dorman, he saw the mayor with the prisoners and wondered who is he when he does not get affected by vervain. While John was threatening Stefan, Elena confronted and indirectly told him that he is her father. Doman pleases Jeremy with the news of the death of Anna and John found in the end that it was Katherine itself who disguised him by being Elena.

3 )Season 2, Episode 1, “The Return”
Released on September 9, 2010, the episode follows up where the last episode ended. Everyone was trying to figure out why Katherine is back when John also got hospitalized. Elena asks Bonnie for a spell but she said that she is not perfect at it.
Katherine comes to Stefan who asked her intention of returning. She says that it is Stefan himself for whom she returned to the town. Stefan, on the other hand, admits that he was never in love with her and that she should move on. Feeling aggressive, she stabbed him in the stomach and ran away.
Doman, when met Katherine told her his feelings for her but she said that Stefan will always be in her mind. Other than this, Tyler was preparing for his father’s funeral and Stefan asked John to leave the town as soon as possible.

4 ) Season 2, Episode 12, “The Descent”
Released on January 27, 2011, the episode follows up on how their life of Rose ended up when she got bitten by Jules, who also attacked Damon. As Rose thinks it was Elena who attacked her, she starts staying away from her. Stefan was trying to contact Isobale who could provide information about Elizah and asked Alaric to help him. He gave him one of her phone numbers.
Rose soon starts showing hallucinations and an urge to bite humans. She even bite a police officer and two teenagers but was saved by Damon howsoever. In between all this, Tyler and Matt were trying to please Caroline but she did not give anyone that looks. While Rose was in pain, Damon went up to Jules to cure her pain.
Upon her advice, he regretfully kills her to free her from her pain. Elena pleases him after which he unintentionally attacked a girl named Jessica. Stefan, who was waiting for Elena at the home tells her that he found uncle John to get to Isobale.

5 ) Season 3, Episode 3, “The End Of The Affair”
Released on September 29, 2011, the episode gives the viewers flashbacks to 1920 and the present time. Stefan was injected with vervain so he can forget everything from the past. It was revealed that he was in a relationship with Klaus’s sister Rebecca but ended up soon.
The necklace Stefan gave to Elena was the one that belonged to Rebekah. Damon took Elena to the old apartment of Stefan in Chicago where he showed her some pictures and Elena found his journal.

6 ) Season 3, Episode 8, “Ordinary People”
Released on November 3, 2011, the episode follows the Original family and how the deadly war started between the vampires and the werewolves. As Rebekah, Klaus, Esther, and Mikael are all connected, many secrets soon opened up before Elena.
Rebekah told Elena the story of how they became enemies to werewolves. When Elena told her that it was Klaus who killed Mikael, she did not believe it and either threatened to kill her, if she comes behind her brother. Elena told Dorman that it would be Dorman himself, who could only protect his brother, as both brothers love each other badly.

7 ) Season 3, Episode 19, “Heart of Darkness”
Released on April 19, 2012, this episode deals with how Jeremy, Stefan, and Damon are revealing information about the ancient vampire bloodline. While Stephen was keeping an eye on Alaric, Elena and Damon arrived in a motel with Jeremy.
Esther falls dead on the ground when Rebekah arrived to find Esther. On the other hand, Damon was falling for Elena when they were alone in the room and got interrupted by Jeremy. Stephen threatened Alaric and hopefully revealed the information that the stake is hiding in the cave and the vampires cannot go there due to an old spell. The viewers see in the end that it was Esther who disguised herself by being Rebekah and said that she wants to kill everyone.

8 ) Season 3, Episode 22, “The Departed”
Released on May 10, 2012, Elena recollects the time, that was spent with her parents and aunt. As the Salvatore brothers were disposing of the neutralized Klaus, one of them had to rush to the hospital, to check for Elena. Alaric, on the other hand, asks Jeremy to tell him the exact location of Klaus, which the latter falsified.
Rebekah also tried to get back to his brother but Allaric ambushed everyone, leaving Rebekah aggressive. Elijah also made a deal with Elena and Bonnie to revive Klaus’s generations in return for his body. As Alaric take the body of Klaus, everyone worried about him as he was the originator of the bloodline but Bonnie made a spell and transferred Klaus’s body into Tyler. Alaric died in Darmon’s arms, making him realize that Elena too had died and rushed to the hospital. Elena was now a vampire.

9 ) Season 4, Episode 5, “The Reckoning”
Released on October 13, 2011, the episode follows how Klaus takes over Elena’s blood to make hybrids. While Stefan asks him to stay away from her, he takes her blood. Doman asks Katherine to help him and she told him about a vampire hunter. Jeremy and Tyler were trying to contact the vampire hunter, Mikael to help them stop Klaus.
They told him about Mikael, a vampire hunter who can kill and destroy everyone. Klaus ran away from the scene, taking with him Elena’s blood, and leaving her unconscious. Damron and Stefan take her to the home while Katherine and Jeremy found Mikael.

10 ) Season 4, Episode 7, “My Brother’s Keeper”
Released on November 29, 2012, the episode follows Miss Mystic Falls for which Elena help dresses in April. Jeremy wants to kill Elena as he cannot resist him but she was always saved by Damon or Stefan.
Elena decided to stay at Salvatore’s house for safety but Stefan ended up leaving the place where she is living. After dancing, Damon and Elena craved for each other and ended up having sex for the very first time in Stefan’s bedroom. They cuddle each other strongly.

11 ) Season 4, Episode 15, “Stand by Me”
Released on February 21, 2013, the episode follows up dead Jeremy and how is everyone trying to make him alive. Everyone thinks that Kathrine is behind the death of Jeremy and the disappearance of Bonnie. They all searched for Bonnie because she was the only one who could help in giving life to Jeremy. Damon and Caroline started finding Bonnie, who later approached Doman.
Elena was remembering her days with Jeremy after watching a photo frame. Vaughn was held in captivity by Caroline to know where is Katherine located. It was a tough time for everyone. The viewers see in the end that Elena’s life was burned away in the house that was set to fire, taking her journal too.

12 ) Season 4, Episode 20, “The Originals”
Released on April 25, 2013, the episode follows how Klaus heads to New Orleans to find a witch girl with a spell upon Katherine’s suggestion. He, instead, met with Marcel, who was ruling with an iron fist.
Klaus found that the witches who lived there were trying to overthrow Marcel and that they plan to use Hayley. While Elijah follows Klaus, Hayley got fallen for a witch named Sophie. Damon and Stefan were making their plans up for Elena in mystic falls when Katherine discovers a message to Caroline.

13 ) Season 4, Episode 23, “Graduation”
Released on May 16, 2013, the episode follows Graduation Day, and intends for the ghosts to settle and fulfil their supernatural abilities. Doman faced a bad encounter with Vaughn who shot him. Matt and Rebekah joined a battle to fight with a ghost while Caroline received a special graduation present.
Bonnie’s plans lead to the closing of the veil and Elena decides on the Salvatore brothers after having a confrontation with Katherine. In the end, Stefan discovers a terrifying clue, surrounding Silas.

14 ) Season 6, Episode 1, “I’ll Remember”
Released on October 2, 2014, the episode follows up that Doman and Bonnie are dead while others are continuing their life. Luke used to give her some medicinal herbs so she can talk to Damon, but Luke was just almost killed by Tyler as Elena started attacking and drinking others as she says that she was thirty. On one hand, Elena said a final goodbye to Stefan, while she was also showing her feelings and cravings for Doman.

Released on May 14, 2015, things go crazy in this episode as Alaric and Jo encountered an unknown man who leaves Elena in terrifying jeopardy. The episode also encounters the emotional crossroads between the relationship of Stefan and Caroline that affected Tyler, Liv, and Elena too.
Jeremy and Enzo also appear while Damon is forced to make an important and the most difficult decision of his life. The viewers also saw how Stefan’s mother reunites with her family.

Caroline is rethinking about relationship with Stefan. Bonnie is making plans with Matt to fight with Damon but ends up realizing her humanity and the people she loved.
