Walker is an American action crime television series developed by Anna Fricke for CW. This is a reboot of the 1990s Western television series “Walker, Texas Ranger”. The series was ordered directly from the series in 2020, with Jared Padalecki playing the title role. It premiered on January 21, 2021.
In February 2021, the series was redesigned for the second season, which premiered on October 28, 2021. In March 2022, the series was renewed for the third season. In September 2019, it was announced that a reboot of the Texas Ranger, a walker starring Jared Padalecki, is under development. CW picked up the project in October 2019 for the development plan from 2020 to 2021. In January 2020, CW was announced to bypass the TV pilot and order the project directly from the series, titled Walker. The series was written by Anna Fricke, who is expected to be executive producer with Dan Lin, Lindsey Liberatore and Padalecki. The production companies involved in this series will consist of CBS TV Studios and Rideback. On February 3, 2021, CW provided the series with five more episodes, bringing the total number of episodes in the first season to 18 episodes and updating the series in the second season. The second season premiered on October 28, 2021. On March 22, 2022, CW updated the series in the third season.
