Masamune-Kun’s Revenge is a Romance, Comedy Harem Japanese anime tv series by SILVER LINK studio that came out on January 5, 2017, on Funimation. The series is based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Hazuki Takeokae, first season of the series had 12 episodes each of 24 minutes. in addition to the tv series, Masamune-Kun’s Revenge also has an OVA of 23 minutes by SILVER LINK studio that came out on Jul 27, 2018.
Masamune-Kun no Revenge follows the story of Masamune Makabe and Aki Adagaki, Masamune Makabe being a chubby kid gets rejected by his childhood crush Aki Adagaki once he hits puberty he turns into a total handsome hunk just to get revenge on the girl who once broke his heart. Masamune-Kun no Revenge season 1 started airing when the manga was still ongoing so the first season of the anime was only able to cover up to 6 volumes. After one year of the series, we got an OVA that mostly covered the story long after where the series ended which did not give any relevant direction to the actual series. On April 26, 2019, finally ended after completing 11 volumes with this information fans were hoping for season 2 to start its production. After this long wait on April 1, 2022, Masamune-Kun, no Revenge Season 2 production has been confirmed by its official website and Twitter account. The makers of the series have also revealed a new promotional video for the series, through official release date has not been confirmed yet but we can expect to see season 2 shortly.

Masamune-Kun no Revenge Season 2 Story
Masamune-Kun no Revenge follows the story of Masamune Makabe and Aki Adagaki who were once childhood friends back then Masamune was a chubby little kid when he confesses his feelings to Aki she immediately rejects him. Now in high school, Masamune has turned from that chubby little kid to a handsome heart stealer whom every girl has a crush on. When Masamune meets Aki Adagaki for the first time in years he makes a plan to take revenge on her for breaking his heart in the past. Along with the help of Aki’s maid, Yoshino Koiwai two of them plots a plan to make her fall in love with him to eventually break her heart. But in the process of making her fall in love with him, Masamune starts having genuine feelings for Aki.
The second season of the series will pick up from when Masamune kissed Aki during the snow-white play the viewers were left hanging on what will happen next most of them could not resist the urge and had already read the manga. For those viewers who have not read the manga season 2 is going to be a lot more for them, there are many surprising events and shocking revelations so do look forward to this epic adventure of Masamune and Aki’s love-hate relationship.
Masamune-Kun no Revenge Season 2 Characters
Masamune-Kun no Revenge season 1 had various fun characters, that we will also get to see in the sequel. The main character Aki Adagaki voiced by Ayaka Ohashi, the Main character Masamune Makabe voiced by Natsuki Hanae, Neko Fujinomiya, Yoshino Koiwai, Futaba Tae will continue their role roles as main characters, Kanetsugu Gasou and Kojuurou Shuri will continue their roles as supporting characters. Voice actors for the characters have not been revealed yet, if the series gets a release date the makers will officially share the names of voice actors for the second season.
