All the fans of Bollywood know of this upcoming comedy-action movie which is produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Bachchan Pandey is a Hindi- language film that is supposed to be a remake of a 2014 Tamil film by the name of ‘Jigarthanda’ which is directed by Karthik Subbaraj, with some changes to the script. This film itself is inspired by a 2006 South Korean movie named ‘A Dirty Carnival’. Originally the idea was for a remake of a different Tamil-language movie titled ‘Veeram’ but that decision was later changed.
Principal photography for the movie Bachchhan Pandey began on 6 January 2021 and finally concluded sometime in July 2021. There were some delays in between due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Filming for the movie was primarily done in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
The film is estimated to have a runtime of about 149 minutes total. The movie is estimated to have a budget total of 150 crore INR.

Bachchan Pandey Story
The story will follow a young filmmaker named Myra who is adamant on making a gangster movie of sorts. Wanting it to be unique and authentic, the protagonist filmmaker tracks down a real-life notorious gangster named Bachchhan Pandey in order to study and interview him for the material. She learns a lot about his daily life from him directly, sources in the same community, and observes him on a daily basis.
She interviews people around him and finally the gangster himself. The protagonist learns a lot about him in this way, including his background, past events, how he came to be where he is, and so on. During these parts, there is an ample amount of action alongside comedy, with a decent-paced script. The filmmaker even learns about his romantic interest Sophie and at this time, some disturbing events unfold. Though it was initially safe for the Filmmaker and her companion to study, observe and be around the main gangster, things start to take a rocky turn.
The movie does make use of songs to bring out the emotions of the moment and as a way of creatively narrating the story and expressing the characters’ personalities.

There are additional song appearances by Bobby Deol and Riteish Deshmukh as well.

The Hindi-language movie Bachchan Pandey will be released on 18 March 2022 and will be shown on most big screens. There is a really good chance for it to be made available on the streaming platform Prime Video sometime soon after the theatre release.
