Almost all of us are from middle-class families. Literally, we don’t even know how our day begins and how it ends. Especially when we have an irritating younger sibling and an overprotecting mother. But still, we love them a lot. Well, Mishra’s family from the web series Gullak is similar to ours. Gullak is an Indian web series created and developed by Shreyansh Pandey.
The series is written by Nikhil Vijay (Season 1) and Durgesh Singh (Season 2), directed by Amrit Raj Gupta (Season 1) and Palash Vaswani (Season 2). It’s a comedy-drama starring Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, and Harsh Mayar in the lead roles. The story revolves around the Mishra family, a family with lots of love, humor, and of course drama. So far two seasons have been aired on TVF Play and Sony Liv. The two seasons have a total of ten episodes with a running time of 24 minutes each.
Gullak Season 3 Release Date
The first season was released on 27 June 2019 and the second season was released on 15 January 2021. Both were premiered on TVF Play and SonyLiv. Now after a small gap, they are back with season 3 of the series. Gullak is one of those series that we can watch over and over without getting bored. Especially the response from the audience for the show was really amazing. Of course, we all will love the show, because it is family content and the incidents happening in the Mishra family are quite relatable and must have happened at least once in any of our families.
The makers made an announcement on February 27, 2022, that they are working on the third season of the series. Though they haven’t made an official announcement of the release date, some sources say that there is a chance for the release date to be March 11, 2022. So let’s wait for the official announcement. The story revolves around the Mishrafamily consisting of Santhosh Mishra, Shanthi Mishra, Anand Mishra, and Aman Mishra. Anand Mishra(Annu) is pissed off because her mother always irritates him by asking questions about his job and service exam results. Throughout the series we see Aman and Anand fighting over petty issues like Aman convincing Shanthi to ask Anand to draw a chart for his board exam practical, while Anand not agreeing to do it, which creates an argument. Anna creates a scene when Aman returns home late, Aman demands a scooty so that he won’t be late again. Again like any other middle-class family Mishra family also tries to make Sundays special but will they be able to do it? Or is anything waiting for them?
Gullak Season 2 Recap
The second season begins with Santhosh Mishra conflicting over the electricity price rising after each month, but he could never find a solution to reduce it. Though he finds illegal means to save electricity, he ends up not doing it because of self-consciousness. The new challenge in this season is Shanthi figuring out that she is diabetic and the whole family doing exercise to reduce her diabetes. The next issue arises when Santhosh notes that Shanthi’s family didn’t include his name on her niece’s wedding which pisses him off and eventually changes everyone’s wedding plans.
Aman cheats on his family and goes to the India-Pakistan live cricket match which shatters Anand when he sees him on the live telecast.
