After an interval of about two years, Space Force Season 2 was finally released on 18th February 2022. It is an American comedy-drama created for streaming on Netflix. As the name suggests, it revolves around a team created to establish a U.S. Space Force. The first season of Space Force was an instant hit but due to the ongoing pandemic, the production and development of season 2 were delayed. The show is created by Greg Daniels and Steve Carell. 

Lauren Houseman, Caroline James, and Michael Maccarone are the producers of the series. Space Force Season 1 was released on 29th May 2020. In the first season, there are a total of 10 episodes, directed by multiple directors. Whereas all seven episodes of season 2 are directed by Ken Kwapis. Both the seasons are available on Netflix. So far, it is totally unclear if there will be Space Force Season 3 Release Date or not. Fans will surely have to wait a little longer for any further updates. Usually, Netflix waits for a month or so before announcing details about the upcoming or further seasons of any show. The tally also depends on the response, rating, and review of the series. Space Force has an average to a positive rating from the fans. If there is will be another season, it will probably release by next year, that is, 2023.

If the creators of the show Space Force decide for renewal for season 3, the plot will surely continue from where it left off in season 2. At the end of the final episode of the last season, Mark R. Naird with his team discovered a dangerous asteroid that was coming towards Earth. But, instead of thinking of solutions to wade off the asteroid, the team started singing ‘Kokomo’ by The Beach Boys to instill calm in everyone. 

So now it is to see what they are going to do in order to find solutions. The next season might also show developments in the relationship of Angela and Chan. Simultaneously, fans will also get to see how Naird balances with work life and his personal errands as the upcoming workload will instill more pressure on him. There are also many loose threads by the end of season 2. All in all, the storyline and plot ideas for season 3 are quite interesting, given there is one.

The story starts with a group of people forming a team for the establishment of a sixth branch, called the United States Space Force under the department of the United States Armed Forces. General Mark R. Naird is the one who is assigned to lead this team. However, many obstacles are faced in the process. The target of this branch is to reach the moon by 2024 and all of these events take place under the President’s order. 

In Season 2, General Naird faces new obstacles to keep this branch afloat. With the development of a new political administration, called the Oval Office, the pressure increases. Now the team struggles to gain confidence once again so that the funding for the projects can continue.
