Ao no exorcist or blue exorcist is an anime that has been adapted from the manga sharing the same name and is written by kazue Kato and is directed by tensai Okamura. The manga of the show has been finished writing already and we have received only two seasons of the anime series yet. Though there are certain modifications made in the anime from that of the actual manga. The show has created a huge fanbase and great words from anime critics. The manga is actually more appreciated than the anime series though it is surely worth a watch for all anime lovers out there.
The story revolves around the two worlds, the normal world where humans live along with the mirror world of demons ruled by Satan. Now Satan has the dream of taking over the world of humans but is unable to find a body strong enough to possess him, here comes the story of rin akumura who is a normal teenager but soon realizes through an accident that he is one of the sons of Satan and due to certain reasons develops a deep grudge against him and becomes an exorcist. The story revolves around how he survives through the exorcist academy with his human world brother. With the end of season 2 of the anime, the viewers are intrigued to no more about season 3 of the series. Season 3 of the series is going to happen for sure as there is a lot of source material available to make the anime on.
Ao No Exorcist Season 3 Release Date
The first season of the show had a total of 24 episodes which aired in the year 2011 and after a long wait, we received the second season of the show in 2017 the second season of the show cut off in the manga adaption in volume 9 chapter 34. the third season of the show is already confirmed and the estimated date for the premiere is April 2023 if it follows the same schedule that the previous seasons have been following.
Season 3 of the show is predicted to have a total of 14 episodes according to our sources with each episode having an approximate runtime of nearly 25 minutes. The third season of the show will not be the final season and is predicted to have a final fourth season.

Ao No Exorcist Season 2 Recap
The second season of the series begins with rin taking part in a critical mission of retrieving the left eye of the impure kind which is a demonic realm and is stolen, though along with shura and yokio is unable to retrieve it they find out the traitor is saburota todo who was possessed by a demon and was in charge of guarding the vault at the true cross academy, when they hear that there has been an attack on the right eye of the impure king, a team is sent to Kyoto for the protection of the vault, where they take care of all the exorcists who were injured while guarding the relic while we see rin meeting Ryuji’s father who is the leader of the myoda sect, with the continuous attacks and an unknown traitor in the myoda sect, there is complete chaos.
We soon see the right eye to be stolen and the news of the revival of the impure king along with much chaos regarding rin and his demonic sword which was the main object of worship in the myoda sect. soon we find out that rin is sentenced to death immediately. Towards the end of season 2, we see the deadly fight between the impure king overpowering the exorcists and rin not being able to take out his sword, soon we see rin learning the use of blue flames finally and defeating the impure king without hurting anyone in the process.
Ao No Exorcist Season 3 Story
If the season of the anime is adapting directly from the manga like the Kyoto saga we are going to see rin and his friends facing a group called the Illuminati led by lucifer, their main aim is to resurrect Satan to the human world and we will also see the opening of the gehenna gate in a faraway nuclear plant and the unleash of rin’s true power along with that.
