Wild Wild Country is a crime documentary series. It has been directed by the duo of Maclain Way and Chapman Way. The title of the series also has a story of its own. Bill Callahan had written a song named Drover which had these lines in it. This song also features in the last episode of the documentary series.

Only one season of the series has been released, till now. The first season had a total of 6 episodes. Each episode of the series has a run time of 64 to 71 minutes. The executive producers of the series are Mark Duplass, Jay Duplass, Josh Braun, Dan Braun, Lisa Nishimura, Ben Cotner and Adam Del Deo.

After a successful first season of the series, the wait for season 2 has begun. The production companies behind the series including Duplass Brothers Productions, Stardust Frames Productions and Submarine Entertainment gained profit from the first season. It is thus, inevitable that the release of season 2 is expected soon. All the six episodes of the first season were released all at once.

A movie adaption of the series headlined by Priyanka Chopra was announced in January 2019. The series helmed by Amazon Studios was named Sheela. No official announcement for the release date of season 2 of Wild Wild Country has been made.

Wild Wild Country follows what can easily be defined as a cult. Osho, the guru is surrounded by many controversies. He claims to have built his Utopian city somewhere in the country of Orgean. The dispute arises when certain conflicts with the locals of the city lead to the uncovering of a scandal.

The first season starts with the local’s attempt of building up a case against Osho. The series highlights the complicated relationship between Rajneesh (Osho) and his secretary Ma Anand Sheela. All of this occurs as Osho shifts his base from India. Sheela had joined Osho’s organization at the tender age of sixteen.

What brings negative attention to the organization are the highly debatable earnings. Rajneesh owning a Rolls Royce draws eyeballs, thus increasing doubt. This also ends up bringing the attention of the FBI to the organization. The story of the guru-assistant duo has various layers that can be delved into. If a season 2 goes under production, it will have a lot to depict.
