We all have a love-hate relationship with horror movies right? Like we desperately want to watch it but at the same time, we are not ready to go alone, even to the washroom after that. We can’t help it, we watch it, and won’t sleep for the rest of the weeks. Well, as the title says, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is a horror thriller directed by Andre Over and produced by CBS Films. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is based on the crime novel with the same name written by Alvin Schwartz. One of the important things about a horror movie is its music, background score. The music of this series is by Marco Beltrami and Anna Drubich.
The story revolves around the aspirant horror story writer Stella Nicholas. In order to make her last high school Halloween more interesting, she decides to visit the haunted house along with two of her friends Auggie Hilderbrandt and Chuck Steinberg. The trio plans to scare their school bully by persuading him to come to that house. But the events turns out to be something that they never thought of.

The Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark part one was released on 9 August 2019. The response from the audience was really encouraging. Their views and feedback show that they have really loved the movie. Like every other blockbuster movie, even this one got the same question from the audience ‘Will there be part 2 of the movie?’
But unfortunately, the movie creators haven’t responded to this question yet. We never get tired of horror movies, so the creators still have the chance to come up with something. But yeah, they still have to consider many things before thinking about a move. Whatever it may be, we supported and enjoyed the first part. Let’s not overthink, let’s just wait and watch.

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark Season 1 Recap
The story takes place at Mill Valley in Pennsylvania in the year 1968. Stella Nicholas is the protagonist of the story. On the Halloween of 1968, Stella along with two of her friends Auggie and Chuck plans to scare the school bully Tommy Milner. In anger, Tommy and his gang chase the trio. In order to escape from Tommy, they hide in a drive-in movie theatre with the help of Ramón Rodriguez. After successfully escaping from Tommy they invite Ramon to accompany them to explore the haunted house which was owned by the Bellows family. Ramon agrees and all of them go inside the haunted house. While exploring the house, they find a book written by Sarah Bellows, the youngest daughter in the bellows family, who was responsible for the death of many kids and children in Pennsylvania.
In the meantime, Tommy finds out that they are hiding n the haunted house and looks at them inside along with Ruth(Chuck’s sister) but eventually they escape from there. Before leaving Sarah takes the book along with her. After reaching home, when she opens the book, she finds writings on the page which was empty before. The story was titled ‘Harold.’ In the nearby cornfield, Tommy was being chased by his family’s scarecrow. The scarecrow hits him with a pitchfork which turns him into a scarecrow. After that, the next title appears in the book named ‘The Big Toe’, a corpse searching for his big toe. Ramon and Stella try to warn Auggie about this but he was already taken away by the monster. When the remaining friends got to know this, they started to look for a solution but they couldn’t find it. So as the last hope they search for Sarah’s life which would solve these problems. Meanwhile, the title of the next story ‘The Red Spot’ appears in the book, and Ruth finds a red dot on her neck bitten by a spider. As the dot bursts, millions of spiders come out. But fortunately, Stella saves her and continues her search for Sarah.
The search leads to a local hospital where they find that Sarah’s brother had performed electric shock on her to cover up their evil deed. Sarah finds out that her family is responsible for the deaths happening in the town. They mix mercury in the water released from the mill which was responsible for the deaths, To escape from this, they blamed everything on Sarah. When they return from the hospital, they get to know that Chuck was absorbed by a phantom, and Tunner was killed by his own dog. Ramon and Stella escape from there and run to the haunted house, where Ramon hides under the floor to save himself from the dog, and Stella under the table.
Sarah promises that she will clear Sarah’s name by bringing out her family’s truth. Stella writes the truth about Sarah and the monsters start to vanish. After the dreadful incident, she writes the truth about Sarah in the newspaper and Sarah leaves from there. Ramon gets himself enlisted and says goodbye to Stella. Stella along with her father and Ruth leaves the place. She says that she will find two of her best friends Auggie and Chuch. This brings us to the end of the story.
