Williams attempts to move on from his former life, but is opposed by his former life, but is opposed by his former father-in-law rick and brother Gary. Kenan Season 2 Episode 8 Recap
Mika has decided to throw a “marriage” segment to raise much-needed advertising revenue for his show, Kenan is horrified; he thinks the bride and groom are incompatible and that the advertisers will reflect poorly on the show. A disgusted Kenan manages to find new advertisers by turning to the community. The bride ditches her fiancé hours before the segment is to air.
Kenan learns that he does not know everything about love and that if two people love each other without caring about their flaws, they should be together, Gary admits to Rick that, at 35, he feels like he is an unaccomplished failure.
Kenan perks Rick up by reminding him of how much he values him as a friend and a manager. At the wedding party, Kenan discovers that Mika is romantically attracted to him once again.
Kenan Season 2 Episode 9 Recap
Wake Up’s crew is forced to bring their children to work because the Atlanta public teachers’ union is on strike. This results in the show’s production being severely disrupted, and Kenan in particular becomes incredibly frustrated with his daughters constantly bothering him.
Kenan attempts to mediate between the union and the school board on his show, but his lack of preparation only aggravates the union. Finally, Kenan apologizes publicly, which Mika uses to raise funds so the teachers can negotiate with the board to end the strike. She and Kenan become closer through the experience and Kenan see how hard it is to manage his children without another parent.
