Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 9 Recap

In episode 9, we saw Sheldon go blank while answering his exam. He blames his incapability to complete the test on Missy (Raegan Revord), who is also having a baseball slump. Missy refers to her slump as having the “yips,” which isn’t scientifically accurate. Given that, Sheldon’s acceptance of the idea after failing to answer his exam is intriguing.

Missy is shown working on it by practicing more, but what Sheldon does to get out of this state remains unknown. He can study harder, but it appears that the issue arises when he is on the spot taking the exam and is similar to stage fright. Given Sheldon’s recent academic struggles, including failing his first engineering class, it doesn’t appear that he’ll be getting a break anytime soon.

The director and the title of episode 10 are not announced yet, but one thing we know for sure is that it will live up to our expectations!
