Maid is an American drama series. It is created by Molly Smith Metzler. The series is based on Maid, a memoir of Stephanie Land. The story of the series surrounds a young mother, Alex who leaves her boyfriend, Sean, because he was abusive and doesn’t treat her well. She finds a job cleaning houses to feed her daughter Maddy.
The series currently has only one season with 10 episodes, which were released on Netflix. Victoria and British Columbia are some beautiful locations, where the shooting of the series took place.
Maid Season 2 Release Date
Season 1 of the series was released on October 1, 2021, in the United States in the original language of English. It got 8.5 ratings out of 10 on IMDb and 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is liked by approximately 94% of people. The running time of each episode is 47 to 60 minutes.
Till now, Netflix has not renewed Maid for season 2, so our guesses will roll up and down a bit. If there will be the next season of the series, then we can expect it to be at the start of 2023. Let’s see what happens, and till then, we can enjoy the trailer.

Maid Season 1 Recap
The story starts with Alex, who has left her abusive boyfriend and started finding a job to sustain her daughter’s life. She went to the social worker, who told her that Yolanda is hiring people for a job cleaning houses. She soon hired Alex for this and Regina was her client. Alex has her mother Paula too, who didn’t know that her daughter has left Sean. Alex was told that Regina is not happy with her work so she went again to her house and her mother mistakenly leave Maddy at Sean’s home.
Alex was remembering her old memories with Sean and was introduced to something blaster. Sean’s s lawyer has informed her that Sean has filed a custody case for Maddy. Of her bad luck, he won the case too. Her social worker advises her to take help from the nearby social domestic center. She met with Denise the owner of the shelter and Danielle, one of the residents there. Danielle soon gets back to her ex. Alex once found Sean drunk at the bar and confronted him as he was not able to become a good father.
Alex met a lawyer who is a friend of the social worker and told her that she would not be able to take custody of her daughter and have to share custody with Sean. They both get agreed and shifted to their new house. One day, Alex was enjoying Regina’s house, drinking wine, and called Wayne at her house, claiming the house to be hers. She was having difficulty finding a new house but finally got a landlord. She also decided to change the daycare center of her daughter. On the other hand, her old acquaintance, Nate was helping in all possible ways.
Sean soon realized that he is not a good father and that his alcoholism is also destroying their future. Hence, he signed for the full custody of Maddy to Alex and free them. Alex decided to move to a better and a good place and she asked Paula about this. She first agreed and later on denied it, encouraging Alex to pursue a good future.
Maid Season 2 Story
There is a higher chance that the show will continue from where it ended in season 1. But till now we have no official updates regarding anything, we can only wait for the spoilers of season 2. Before that this is compulsory to know about its release date.
Maid Season 2 Cast
Margaret Qualley in the character of Alexandra Russell or Alex in short is a young mother who leaves her boyfriend Sean and takes her daughter Maddy with her. She starts looking for a job and soon gets a job as a maid. Nick Robinson in the character of Sean Boyd is the father of Alex’s daughter, Maddy.
Anika Noni Rose in the character of Regina is a wealthy client of Alex’s. Tracy Vilar in the character of Yolanda is Alex’s boss at Value Maids. Andie MacDowell in the character of Paula is an undiagnosed bipolar disorder, described by Alex. Her rapid mood swings make her a bit unreliable. She cares about her daughter and granddaughter very much.
Ramond Ablack in the character of Nate is the ex-lover of Alex who tries to help her in every situation. Burke in the character of Hank is Alex’s distant father who started a new life and family without her and her mother.
