Crown Jewel as the name suggests is the biggest WWE event of the year which was organized and produced by the WWE Network in which participated their RAW and SmackDown brand divisions. It was a pay-per-view (PPV) event and it was a part of the 10-year strategic multiplatform partnership in support of Saudi Vision 2030 with the General Sports Authority for the promotion of American professional wrestling which began in early 2018.
WWE Crown Jewel 2021: When & Where
This event happened on Oct 21, 2021, in the presence of 22,000 fans in the Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was the third event that happened under the Crown Jewel franchise and the sixth event under the 10-year partnership with the Saudi Vision 2030. It was the first event that happened outside of the United States after the Covid -19 pandemic since Super ShowDown which happened in Feb 2020.
In this event, 10 matches were conducted in which featured the wrestlers of the SmackDown and the RAW brands. The next Crown Jewel hasn’t been announced yet but it’s in the pipeline and will get some information on it soon, till then stay at the site.
WWE Crown Jewel 2021 Event Description
The event comprised 10 matches including the finals of the 2021 King of the Ring and the inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament and another was the Kickoff Pre Show in which the non-title tag team event happened in which the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, The Usos consisting of Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso fought with the newly reformed Hurt Business consisting Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander and at last, it ends with a photographic Uso Splash performed by Jimmy to win the match.

In Preliminary matches opened with a Cell match in hell with opening with Edge with Seth Rollins which opened with pay-per-view and this match was a hell of a match consisting of weapons, a steel chair, a ladder, steep pipe, and steep steps ending it with an Edge’s head onto a chair placed with Rollins and tried to attempt a Stomp but Edge is Edge so he countered after which performing superkicks on Rollins after which Rollins entangled the chain with Edge with Crossface using a steel pipe on Rollins.
Following that Mansoor faced Mustafa Ali in which Mansoor got Ali in a submission but he breaks the submission ending with a neck breaker which was performed on Ali by Mansoor. After which Karateka Tareg Hamedi confronted Ali after which he was kicked in the head. After which the Raw Tag Team Championship where Randy Orton and Riddle tag team RK-Bro defended it against AJ Styles and Omos after which Orton performed a Phenomenal Forearm attempt in an RKO style.
Then, SmackDown’s Zelina Vega faced Raw’s Dewdrop on the finals of the Queen’s Crown tournament in which Vega performed her famous Code Red. Following which Goldberg faced Bobby Lashley in an Anywhere match of No Holds Falls Count in which Goldberg’s leg was dominated by Lashley which he stomped on it. After this SmackDown’s Finn Balor with Raw’s Xavier Woods as to win the King of the Ring, Following that in the WWE Championship Big E defended it against Drew McIntyre, where Big E was hit Belly to Belly by McIntyre and it in total three Belly to Belly in the whole match and ending it in a penultimate, in the SmackDown Women’s Championship between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks after which Lynch was Inside Cradle.
The Main Event was the one where Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman against Brock Lesnar where German Suplex happens multiple times and at last match ended with a pin with the coming of a second referee.
WWE Crown Jewel 2021 Match Results
In the Tag team match, The Usos defeated The Hurt Business with a pinfall, in the second match the hell in a cell match Seth Rollins lost against Edge with a pinfall. In the Singles match again Mansoor won it by a pinfall against Mustafa Ali. In the Tag team for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship, the match was won by RK-Bro against Omos and AJ styles, in the Queen’s Crown Tournament singles finals Zelina Vega won by pinfall. In the No hell Barred Falls Count Anywhere match Bobby Lashley was defeated by pinfall by Xavier Woods.
In the Singles match for the WWE championship Big E won after defeating Drew McIntyre with a pinfall, Becky Lynch won the Triple threat match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. In the Singles match for the WWE Universal Championship Brock Lesnar was defeated by Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman by a pinfall.
