Before the anime, the light novel series got adapted into manga as well, which was written by Shogo Kinugasa and Yuyu Ichino and was released on January 27, 2016, having a total of 11 volumes and is still in continuation. Furthermore, the light novel series has 18 volumes in total. Now for season 1, first 3 volumes of the manga were adapted which leaves ample of source material both from light novel and manga to be adapted into the new season. And from this we can entail that more than 2 seasons can be consisted in the existing source material.

No data of the Blu-Ray DVD series is available leaving us oblivious regarding this aspect.
The production houses seem to reach to an impasse and obstinately remain their so, but if the fans build pressure on them we might be able to see some results. And if hypothetically speaking, the Lerche Studio announces the renewal of anime in the upcoming months itself (which seems highly unlikely), the production will take 8-9 months thereby releasing the new season in the fall of 2022.
Classroom Of The Elite Season 2 Story
The story revolves around a high school boy named Kiyotaka Ayanokoji who is an insidious prodigy and remains so throughout the story. He is the student of a high school established by the government of Japan itself titled Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School which mainly focuses to nurture students which can later help in the development of the development of the Japanese society.
However, there is a systemic hierarchy installed in this school, which ranks students based on their abilities and the inferior ones are most likely to get marooned in the lower rank class, called class D. Kiyotaka despite his unparalleled intelligence also happens to be the student of this class, and with this other two friends tires to climb up the ranks by involving himself in various affairs.
