It is because we have got you an English series that is loosely based on the theme of angels and devils representing heaven and hell respectively. We are talking about a fantasy comedy series, Good Omens.
Neil Gaiman along with Terry Pratchett wrote a novel during the 1990s that holds the same title as that of the series. This novel became the base of the story and Neil Gaiman also served as the creator of the series. The direction by Douglas Mackkinon is also amazing. Two years back when the series was aired in different countries, many people liked watching it and from then onwards, there was a scope for the second installment. Good Omens Season 2 Release Date
The first season of this English fantasy comedy show was released on different days in the UK and worldwide. It was on 15th January 2020 on BBC Two in the United Kingdom when the first episode aired and then on a weekly basis the episodes were made available to the people. This seriality came to an end on 19th February 2020. On the other hand, this 6 episode long series was released in one go on 31st May 2019. It is regarded as the original release date and is available on Amazon Prime Video.
Recently in June 2021, we had an announcement pertaining to the renewal of the series. This clearly states that we are soon going to have Good Omens season 2. Neil Gaiman took it to Twitter to announce this piece of good news.
Since it has been only a few weeks since the statement arrived so, we need to wait a bit longer as the filming and pre-production need to be wrapped up. According to the reports, all the cameras will start rolling in Scotland this year itself. Moreover, the lead actor, Michael Sheen posted an update regarding the shooting on his online site. We hope that these phases can end up by 2021 and by mid-2022, we can have Good Omens season 2 on our screens.

It has been confirmed that Amazon will be providing six episodes in the second season as well. Previously, the episodes had an average running time of about 51 minutes. This can continue in the upcoming installment as well.
Good Omens Season 2 Cast
The exact cast details have not been reviewed by the creators but we are surely going to have Michael Sheen again in the role of Aziraphale. In the series, he is an angel and is the owner of a bookshop in London. David Tennant will be returning to reprise his role of Crowley. He is a demon and is sometimes called, ‘Crawly’.
There is no official word on the other actors who are going to be part of the second season. However, more actors from the previous cast list might appear in their respective roles, or else, new personalities can join in.
Good Omens Season 2 Story
Neil Gaiman, in an interview with RadioTimes.com, said that he and Pratchett were planning of focusing on the origination of the angels in the sequel. Good Omens season 2 can revolve around this idea and angels might be taken into account more significantly. This upcoming season can provide us a mysterious experience.
