Great News Season 3 Release Date
The series containing 10 episodes debuted on April 25, 2017, on NBC. On May 11, 2017, NBC recharged Great News for the second season of 13 scenes, which premiered on September 28, 2017.
Great News has gotten commonly positive reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes the series has an endorsement rating of 76% based on 33 reviews, with a standard rating of 6.15/10. On Metacritic, the series has a score of 67 out of 100, in light of 21 critics, titling “generally favorable reviews”. It has a pretty good rating of 7.0 out of 10 on IMDb rating compared to other review aggregators’ websites.
Not our main concern will we get the third season? Will we be able to continue enjoying season 3 as well? Unfortunately, we are very sad to inform you that on May 11, 2018, the network NBC who is responsible for this series revealed the decision to cancellation of the Great News after delivering two seasons and that the previous season 2 will be served as the last and finale season. NBC does not have any plans to renew and officially ended the Great News Season 3.
Great News Season 3 Reason for Cancellation
The sole cause of ending this great sitcom and people’s favorite is related to its performance and ratings. The second season faced an 11% decrement in its viewership in contrast to the first season.
Via Vulture, Tina Fey, who contributed her acting as well as served as a producer of Great News, expressed her sadness towards the cancellation through her statement that goes like “the series, lamentably, end up being canceled after only two seasons because of low appraisals and assessments paying little psyche to fans re-establishing to save it”

The series’ main stars include Briga Heelan in the role of Katherine “Katie” Wendelson who is a segment producer at The Breakdown who out of nowhere needs to manage the presence of her mom Carol in her work environment when she turns into an intern. Then comes next Andrea Martin as Carol Wendelson, who is Katie’s mother and an intern at The Breakdown. Then there is Adam Campbell as Greg Walsh who is an executive at The Breakdown and Katie’s chief and love crush, Horatio Sanz as Justin who is a video proof-reader at The Breakdown, and lastly, Nicole Richie as Portia Scott-Griffith who is co-anchor of The Breakdown, John Michael Higgins as Chuck Pierce, co-anchor of The Breakdown who was once an all-around regarded network anchor.

This sitcom spins around Katie Wendelson (played by Briga Heelan), a baffling cable newsmaker. Her work and personal lives impact when her mother who always stays at home, Carol (played by Martin), chooses to follow her dreams and gets an entry-level position on Katie’s public news show.
