The Tatami Galaxy is a Japanese anime series based on a novel written by Tomihiko Morimi in 2004 and is published by Ohta Publishing. Tatami Galaxy was released in the year 2010 and has received a huge fan base and a lot of mixed reviews as well as rated 8.5 on IMDb ratings.
The show is also named ‘Yohouhan Shinwa Taikei’ (as in Japanese). A small population of the viewers reviewed it negatively while more than half of the reviews gave a positive response. Ozu (Voiced by: Hiroyuki Yoshino), Ozu always appeared to be ugly in his first appearance. He expresses himself as a cruel being. He tends to manipulate other characters against the protagonist. Still, his sweet side cares for the protagonist and rescues them at times. Akashi (Voiced by: Maaya Sakamoto), A freshman who tends up impressing the protagonist. She mostly behaves coldly yet shows affection towards most of the protagonists. She is a member of Birdman Circle and a student of the engineering department.

Seitarō Higuchi (Voiced by: Keiji Fujiwara), is an eight-year super senior living in the same dorm as of protagonist. He always wears yukata and is wise by his character. He originally claims to be a God of matchmaking (deity of matrimony). Masaki Jōgasaki (Voiced by: Junichi Suwabe), is also an eighth-year super senior and also president of the movie circle. He is handsome as well as popular. He has ongoing conflicts with Higuchi.
Ryōko Hanuki (Voiced by: Yuko Kaida), is a frequent drinker, still, she is cautious of the company she is drinking with, she is a dental hygienist too. Kaori (Voiced by: Mamiko Noto, Nobuyuki Hiyama). It is a love doll owned by Jōgasaki. Aijima (Voiced by: Setsuji Satō) He secretly leads Secret Society Lucky Cat Chinese Restaurant. Keiko Higuchi, A belief by the protagonist that Keiko is an elegant girl who writes letters but in actual she is Akashi.
Fortune Teller (Voiced by: Ako Mayama) She appears in every episode as an old woman and increases the price by ¥1000 of her services in each of the subsequent episodes. Ramen stall owner (Voiced by: Atsushi Miyauchi) He is a mostly silent being and owner of the Ramen Shop. He is a helpful person when it comes to protagonist adventures. The Tatami Galaxy Season 2 Story
The story is of a third-year unnamed student of Koyoto University with the dreams of perfect college life and how his life would be different. But he often regrets when his life doesn’t end up being the way he wanted it to be. He meets Ozu and then becomes close to Akashi, Akashi is a second-year engineering student.
Watashi (unnamed student) makes promises to Akashi who is a second-year student of the engineering department in a romantic context. He then meets a fortune teller who constantly tells him about the opportunities coming on his way. He gathers the courage to propose Akashi. But still ends up being lonely.
He was again given a chance to make his college life worthwhile, he tries his best to spread love and befriend all the people he became cruel with. But it is still a mystery that everything works in his favor or not, he might or might not end up being alone.
